Celebrating Birth, Strengthening Community, Honouring Culture
The Birth Wellness Festival aims to inform, educate, and support women to be well-nourished, happy, and healthy during pregnancy, postpartum and beyond.
Whether your birth story includes home birth, hospital birth, or a midwifery group practice, we invite you to come and meet the dedicated birth workers and birthing community of the Byron/Tweed shire and beyond who gather at the festival to share their care, wisdom, and knowledge. Our aim is to provide information, resources, and skills about normal physiological childbirth to resource mothers and their families to make informed choices about their unique pregnancy, birth and postpartum experience.
Our deepest intention for this gathering is to foster an inclusive birth community and to make families aware of the resources available in our region. We create space for you to receive wisdom from midwives, doulas, holistic practitioners, doctors, parents and grandparents to support you through your pregnancy journey - and for you to be part of the conversation too.
The format of the festival program is consciously created to allow our community to be a part of the conversation; share, listen, and connect with the birth community around you.
